As in any cruise you get all sorts of "dressers". What some class as dressy is a bit hit and miss.
If you dine in the formal restaurant then there is a dress code, if you really can't be bothered one night then you can eat in the 24hr less formal one in which shorts and t shirts are accepted. The gala night is dressy, the majority of men are black tie and tux, the women range from dressy (which most are) to black trousers and a sparkly top. In fact more people dressed up on Thomson than the Freestyle Carnival and Norwegian.

You could wear that to dinner in the main dining room every night and not be out of place
