I take cash and my credit card/debit card for big purchases (I'm eyeing up some new roller skates this year) but to be honest I normally have more than enough in cash that I dont bother with the cards and I prefer it

Just feels more normal to me.

Traveller's cheques must be the future then? At least in that 47 square miles of Florida.

I miss travellers cheques. Like mick were great for large purchases and getting cash as change. The phrase of if it isn't broke don't fix it comes to mind. We used to use them to pay for breakfast then use the change as the cash for the day.

Its a shame they have just become so hard to get hold of and change when needed. People give you that same look as trying to use £50 pound note in the UK.

Its been a good ten years plus since we used them and now just use majority cash with revolut for food and a CC or 2 for back up. I dont like having my credit card out of my site which happens all to often for my liking in USA.

Start the travellers cheque revolution i say. Apparently retro is back in.

This is exactly what we do. Up the revolution!
