 Another little update! Vets rang back this afternoon. They've managed to drain the fluid in his lungs and he is eating and looking much perkier. They think it's a problem with his heart so he is going to have a scan in the morning. They offered to let him come home this afternoon with medication but my neighbour opted to keep him at the vets for one more night just to be really certain that he will get the care he needs. Then hopefully he can come home tomorrow after he's had the heart scan. I'll update tomorrow - thank you everyone for your positive thoughts, they've obviously worked!

I know in humans heart failure can be managed with medication Good luck if Stalin needs daily medication, he may have other ideas |

Good luck to my neighbour getting those in him!  He's currently sulking in the garden, which is a good thing because when he was first neutered by CPL and was released, he shot off and we didn't see him for five days  He's come a long way in two years

So glad he is home. My boy (cat not human!) gave us a scare just over a year ago when he could barely walk and got really poorly overnight. It was his heart too and he is on a load of meds now (as well as for a newly diagnosed thyroid problem), but you wouldn't know anything was wrong to look at him... he still runs around as if he is a kitten (he is almost 10!). Noone ever believes he was so poorly and has a dodgy heart when they look at him! I hope Stalin continues to recover well
