If anything, you could say that the left hand side of Future World becomes a bit too sci-fi based *if* these rumours are true. GOTG, Mission Space, a sci-fi themed Test Track - they are all futuristic.

Epcot was the park that, originally, wasn't about any films. It was about the world, present and future, with creative ways to share and educate about that. Has it needed developing and updating for a while? Probably, yes. But I'd rather it wasn't dumbed down a la Frozen instead of Real Norway and losing the non-virtual educational aspects of Test Track, for example.

I put 'everything' in ' ' to highlight that it's a general feeling rather than a literal fact, but, still, things do seem to be moving in a much less original and less varied direction, with the shortcut of creating an attraction out of a film already created (heavily superhero and sci fi), rather than letting the imagineers imagine new ways to present World Showcase and Future World.

Disney used to be a market creator, not just a market leader, now they're 'scavanging' around for movie rights. .

Kids know to have fun with anything, don't they? And the jumping water requires no smartphone, no queuing, can't be blocked by an iPad or be spolit by flash photography ...and crucially they can play over and over.

Surprisingly, for Epcot, less than 15 years seems to be around average for replacement.

Future World definitely needs an overhaul, but I agree that I preferred it when it wasn't about the movies. Its supposed to be dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, to entertain, inform and inspire. I feel the same as others, it should be filled with original ideas. The topics of space and space travel don't need GotG to grab our interest, it's fascinating enough on its own.
