Alamo - Expected hold on credit card

Hi fellow dibbers,

I've booked a car through Alamo Brits. Prepaid.
Does anyone know the expected amount they hold your credit card once the vehicle is collected.

Mixed reports from nothing to as much as the full rental so I can't give 100% answer from experience other than that on pay on arrival the shadow is for the full rental and it drops after a week (as it has with my current rental).

As above, albeit Big Dog was pay on arrival.

I pre pay and never have a hold put on my Card but others have had varying amounts.
Seems to be no pattern to it
