I've always been partial to the Ravenswood Zinfandel after Oz and James recommended it on one of their adventures. Available in Publix too if my memory is correct.

It might have just been our publix but none during my July August trip though the selection in general was quite small. I will try a larger store

and if youve got a car, take a trip half an hour up the US27 to the winery itself. they do free tours and wine tasting... they run pretty much every hour on the hour (i think between 10am and 4pm), the tour takes about half an hour, and the wine tasting takes another half an hour. you can then try the various reds they have on offer (they do a particularly nice port-like wine) and buy them direct from them, with discounts if you buy a case or more

we now do a trip up there early on in the holiday so we can buy a bunch of wine to drink during the holiday (as taking it back home is bulky and relatively expensive)... bottles cost in the region of $7-15 each

(they also definitely sell it at publix at champions gate)

Try some American wines - you might be pleasantly surprised! Publix sell Carmel Road Californian Pinot Noir which is one of our favourite wines. We first sampled it in Carmel, California! Also they have a great selection of Australian wines which we love. Used to be great fans of French wine but have broadened our horizons in the last few years.

Thankyou we stay at glenbrook which is just off highway 27 ! That's a super idea and it sounds like a nice way to spend an hour
