Car Park Costs At Disney and Universal

Hi

We are trying to decide if it's worth hiring a car when we go in April '17. One thing which we need to know is a general idea of how much it costs to park at each of the different parks or if it's possible to park close to the parks and walk (more for universal as at Disney that looks impossible).

Any help would be amazing. Thanks

It's $20 per day to park at Disney or Universal. There aren't any public car parks near a Universal that you could walk from.

It is well worth hiring a car, you are then not relying on public transport or shuttles to get around, you go when you are ready not when the timetable says. Orlando is massive too and you really need the car to get around and driving is a doddle on their massive roads, even though the I4 ultimate work is causing traffic jams.

Another option to consider is Uber. A number of people have found this cheaper than hiring a car and paying the car park fees.

Before this year I would have said hire a car but the prices have almost doubled in some cases and once you add on the parking charges you are looking at a significant amount of money.

Uber might cost in depending on your hire cost and your plans.
