Fantasmic - Dining Package or Fastpass?
Morning all
We're narrowing down our DDP choices and have got to about 17 TS places we fancy. Bottom of the list (but not by a long way) is Mama Melrose but it's currently included because of the Fantasmic dining package. I'd really appreciate people's opinions on this. Do we stick with MM, or eat a another restaurant and fastpass Fantasmic (assuming we can) Thanks |

Personally, I'm booking MM and saving my fastpass for something else. I really enjoyed the meal there, admittedly several years ago now. I believe VIP seating is slightly more central than FP+ (I've done both now)
I wouldn't waste 2 credits on Brown Derby and H&V is awful Today is my ADR day!

I wouldn't waste a fast pass on Fantasmic. There's no special location for FP+.
You get absolutely nothing out of using a Fast Pass other than guaranteed entry - but I've never seen it filled completely up to the point they were turning people away anyway. You could Fast Pass it, turn up 30 seconds before the show, and you'd be way way way way at the back in the auxiliary seating area. Which would be just the same as turning up 30 seconds before the show without a Fast Pass. |

sorry to hijack but If using the Fantasmic dinner package do you have to use the Fantasmic ticket on the same day as the meal ?

There was a sectioned off FP+ area last October, it was just to the right of the VIP area. It was opened up to everyone a couple of minutes before the show started to fill the remaining seats.

On ddp I would stick with the dining package and save your fastpass for something else as it's a tier 1 fastpass, so you immediately eliminate rock n roller coaster or toy story mania if you choose fantasmic.
It's good value for your credit too as you get 3 courses..although the dessert at MM was poor when we went in 2015 Paying oop for it I'd go to brown Derby every day of the week...it's great value, but you're right that on the ddp it's poor use of 2 credits
