Hand baggage only flights?

Hi I am looking for reasonable flights for next summer like lots of us! Many of the cheap flights are hand luggage only...if you then chose the next category of ticket that includes a suitcase the flight cost almost triples. I see people booking these cheap flights... do they just travel very lightly or am I missing a cheaper way of adding bags!

Hi if we didn�t take our golf clubs we would use cabin bags only , it�s actually not that hard once you decide on this path. If you think about it 4 pair shorts 6 t shirts plus underwear and extra trainers it�s not that hard. Sun cream etc buy on arrival.

We�ve taken to flying hand baggage only, But there is usually an option to add a bag which is cheaper than moving up to the next level. We can manage with A single case for 4 of us. (Plus the cabin bags) So �40ish to add a case is better than upgrading everyone to the next tier.

Also look at fly drive, adding a car even for a day and not picking it up can add bags to the package for little extra cost.
