Is it odd using traffic light intersections instead of roundabouts?

It is actually far less stressful as there is no trying to decide when it is safe to go except if you are making a right on red. 4 way stops can take a little time to get used to but you honestly don't need to worry about driving especially now that you can use your phone as a sat nav

Has your husband taking the UK test? If so he must be able to reassure you how easy the US ones are in comparison.

No he hasn’t! He’s allowed to drive on his us license over here.
I think I was most worried about the traffic lights when you have to yield turning left! Like trying to figure out which ones I yield at and which ones I don’t!

The thoughts in advance are much worse than actually doing it.

Once you're over there and driving for real you'll settle in quickly.

It's like when you start a new school - you worry in advance - you don't know the people or your way around --- but within a couple of weeks it all feels so different.

Thank you for that! That makes a lot of sense to see it from that perspective.

You're welcome!

It's something I have to remind myself of often.

I'd be so excited at the new adventure. Wishing you well with it all.

How exciting for you!

Driving in the US is SO easy, you will be absolutely fine! Can't add anything regarding passing a test though.

As a matter of interest, how did your American husband find driving over here in the UK?

Thank you for the encouragement!
He said he had not drove a manual in 5 years before coming here. And picked up his car 45 mins away from where he was living. He said the drive home was definitely an experience 😂
He said he got use to it pretty quickly tho. He said going with the flow of the traffic is what makes it easier.
