Pre teen skincare recommendations
My daughter has just started experimenting with a little bit of make up and so I want to get her in to good habits in terms of removing her make-up properly . She also suffers with slightly dry skin on her face due to her swimming a lot each week and so needs a moisturiser too.
I'm reluctant to get her any products that are designed for the skin of someone maybe 10 years older than her but I do think she needs to use something. Anyone got any recommendations of something really gentle without too much rubbish in them that may be suitable for her? |

Simple all the way, they do a light moisturiser and plenty of cleansers and face washes, nice and gentle, and reasonably priced at the supermarket.
Also Boots does a brand called 'good things' they have a really nice line of face washes, but they may be aimed at more blemished skin (spots ect) or they also do a line very similar to simple (as do Superdrug and possible Waitrose I think) but a little cheaper. But that's the kinda thing good for cleaning the face a little and gentle on skin.

Vanishing cream from lush is amazing, in fact I would take her to lush as they have some fabulous teen products and give samples etc.

Dermalogica clear start range is great for younger skin. Not cheap but they don't need much so lasts a long time. If you take her to a stockist they'll help with what to use and how often. Dd only started using the face wash twice a week.
Dd also uses simple face wipes.

Neutrogena is very good for young skin as it’s not too harsh but still cleanses well. It’s usually on offer and the moisturiser is good but light so doesn’t clog the pores. This was recommended for my son by our gp as he’s said you shouldn’t use too much on your face in the first place

Liz Earle, its a simple, easy to use product, not tested on animals, and not too expensive either, they do fab starter packs.
