Mobile What are sept peeps doing now?

We are due 10th with flights booked back in Dec with virgin and dvc rented and Disney. If flights go we lose the money for those and dvc and I don’t want to fork out for Disney how it is.

Do we try and move now (maybe May 2021) or hold off and see what happens? If virgin are flying is it likely flights will go and we lose the money?

Argh decisions. Not even sure if eligible for an open ticket due to when we booked.

I'm going 13th September and have swapped my 7 nights at POFQ for 7 nights at Sapphire Falls in Universal. I'll then have 5 complimentary nights at Disney's Polynesian, no parks. I'll be chilling out at the resort, Disney Springs, eating at other resorts. It won't be the holiday I envisaged but I'm really looking forward to it.

I’m due to go the 10th too. Although with BA. Outwith the cancel/move period for now.

Waiting to hear what Disney have to offer (or not). Have booked extra accommodation at universal/gulf coast (fully refundable) in case Disney stays unaffordable without free dining.

Still swinging between feeling hopeful that all the stars will align and we’ll be safe and able to go and hoping that everything is still shut and we’ll get money back.
So nothing new here really 😂

We have never been before and girls are 6 and 3 so it needs to be the full Disney experience for me or not at all. We had to cancel due to zika and now corona. I’d be tempted to move to May 2021 but what’s it going to be like then! Getting money back would be my ideal

I agree. When little kiddies are involved it has to be the full Disney experience. Could you still go to Orlando but do other stuff, eg Legoland. I'm sure there's loads of other stuff too.

I think that’s what we need to weigh up but also what we would spend vs what we would lose and whether it’s worth losing the flights and putting what we would spend towards the next Disney booking or spending money to go and do other stuff which may mean we can’t do Disney as soon (if that makes sense)

Ah that’s rubbish you’ve missed out before due to a bug

I’m hoping we hear something good from Disney but really I’m convinced they’re trying to encourage as many people to cancel of their own accord.

We’re taking my DD’s boyfriend this year and it’s his first time to Florida. We’d hyped up this amazing holiday to him and now who knows what we’re going to get.

We are due to fly on the 13th but we have been trying to reschedule for the past week with Tui - but we can't get through as the lines are constantly engaged. Our balance is due in a couple of weeks and we would have to pay that via phone anyway so they need to sort it out. Tui have been ridiculous from what I've read.

I was pregnant at the time so they advised not to fly. Luckily we got all money back on that one.

I wonder when they will get in touch. I’ve had all the dining cancellations through now.

Hope everyone gets something sorted ❤️

We were booked for 26th Sept just changed our Aer Lingus flights to 17th Apr-1st May. We had already changed the villa and we were able to move our tickets and insurance to next year. We do have a night in the Poly that we have rented points for but the owner has said they will do their best to get us a night when we do go. We've lost out on mnsshp tickets and non refundable car park but I was getting far too stressed about it all. Hopefully virgin will extend the dates for you guys to change.
