Mobile Garda, lake garda

We fly for oh's 50th birthday on 6th July with TUI.

Booked hotel separately and chose hotel continental (booked directly but TUI also sell this hotel). Chose because apparently 200m to the lake.

I'm terrified!
We go to mallorca every year and know it like the back of our hands, and feel comfortable in Florida but Italy... its a new place for us!

We fly to Verona and land at 18.15 so will probably taxi as oh doesnt want to drive. Especially as the day we fly is his birthday.

Any tips, advice or garda?

It’s a bit expensive nowadays but a trip around the lake on the local ferry boats to the various other towns/villages is worth doing (I’d recommend a visit to Sirmione and/or Peschiera). Lake Garda does look lovely in the summer.

All the towns are worth a visit. At Malcesine there is a cable car to add extra interest. Probably Sirmione my favourite but love them all.
