Virgin UC upgrades

Morning all...

I have read a few posts on here about people getting decent upgrade offers for Virgin UC. I'm very tempted if I can get the right price.

I have Prem Econ booked for Vegas in Feb (they are reward flights using miles), and also Delta flights to Tampa (booked through Virgin) in April. These flights are via JFK and are Delta comfort on way out and Business on way back.

What is best way to get the cheapest price to upgrade to UC for the Vegas flights, and Business for the Delta outbound?

From my experience, the best way is usually luck. I haven't found any rhyme or reason on how they allocate. I always try direct or with airmiles and sometimes get lucky but often find the upgrade cost insane. Very interested though if anyone knows any tricks

The cheapest way is usually upgrading airmiles. I just did it for my flight back from Miami cost around �100 and the miles

Unfortunately I used all my miles to get the Vegas flights!
