Not much has changed for DS. He is revising as he has his midterms the week after next. He wants good results as it makes a difference as to his options in year two.

In two weeks time we will be on our way to visit him 🎉
I bet you can’t wait! The time seems to have slipped by so quickly in some ways. Does he have xmas break, Easter etc like our unis? I think he has done amazingly well to have coped the way he has, you just be very proud of him.

He has two semesters - August to December and February to May. Each has 13 weeks of classes, two weeks of revision and then a week of exams.

Once the exams are done, that course is done and dusted and they start with new courses the following semester.

I am very proud of him - but it has been his dream so I am just thrilled he got there! When we left him at the airport he thanked is for letting him go 🥰 - but how could we not.

That’s interesting, 4 months of study and then a break. Is he there for 3 years?
Bless him, how lovely to thank you for letting him go, it’s certainly life changing for him, I wonder what he will want to do next!

Ben is getting on well, he has 2 groups of friends - his flat mates and then a group of boys from his History course. He hasn’t been out that much but did go into Canterbury to see the Joker and have dinner with the History friends. He is happy though but not really cooking as such, more like taking bits out of the freezer and sticking it in the oven! He is coming home this weekend, I can’t wait to see him and I know his little brother is so excited! particularly as he has been very poorly with Glandular Fever at age 9!
That’s great news too, is Ben enjoying his degree? Our middle son studied History and really enjoyed it as it was so varied.

I hope you all have a great weekend together, and the visit helps your younger son feel better xx

Seems so strange that your son had his mid-terms already when ours have just started their course. It shows how quickly the time passes though. I bet you are counting the days to your visit now 😀 I hope he hasn’t kept his washing for you, Georgia did ask tonight if we could take her sheets home to wash as she can’t dry them 😂

Thank you! I think for some like Ben and Georgia it takes a little more time to adjust. Ben was also talking about who to share a house with next year, it seems crazy to be already thinking about that but Ben said people have told him to try and find people to share with by December
I hope you are enjoying your holiday, I wouldn’t mind a bit of warmth and sun!

Your last paragraph made me tear up 😢 I think that’s all we want as parents, to see them happy and fulfil their dreams and aspirations xx

H is in her second week and very busy but seems happy. Lectures have started and her timetable is quite full. She’s also trying new activities and went to a taster session for fencing today! Her accommodation is catered and her corridor tend to go to meals together so they are bonding quite well so far. Contact can be a bit sporadic but it’s nice when we do get to catch up.

The holiday has been so nice, weather was very hot earlier this week but a little cooler now. It’s been so nice to relax with DH and enjoy each other’s company. I have missed Georgia, but it’s been good for us to spend time as a couple 😀

Lovely updates from everyone.
My Dd is still enjoying it, she has trampolining twice a week and goes to gym regularly.
I’ve spoke to her more this week as oh and I have been in holiday and she usually FaceTimed when she was cooking which was nice. She has discovered Quorn mince and chicken so is using that more than meat.
She comes home tomorrow but not leaving until after her last lecture so will be 11pm when we pick her up.
We are going to breakfast with my mum, she is seeing her friends then we are all going to Okoberfest together. Mum will make her and her bf a Sunday lunch to take home.
