Pleased to see that you've upgraded the Tui basic car insurance - hope it was a reasonable cost?
Haven't flown in to SFB since 2008 but from what I've read on here the car collection is slightly different to collecting at MCO, TPA and MIA. I think that you have to go to the Alamo desk to get the paperwork (not straight to the garage) but you still get to pick your own car. There may be kiosks rather than going to a desk but I don't know what they do. Assume you may be using the 417 to get to your villa? Another little benefit of Alamo is their Sunpass toll scheme. A bit cheaper than all the others - not a huge amount but better in your pocket. Mick

Apologies if I'm telling you stuff you already know but I've seriously missed posting on the car forum these last few months. Might get carried away.
This is a useful web site which shows all the toll roads in Florida including the few cashless ones. sunpass/en/about/whe...eSunPass.shtml If you open up traveller information/rental vehicles you'll see exactly how Alamo charge. Sunpass is triggered automatically as you drive through a toll plaza without stopping - nothing to switch on in the car and nothing to sign up to at the airport. All done by a camera taking a pic of your plate and charging your credit card in due course. You can of course stop and pay cash and avoid the admin charge - except those cashless ones. Mick
