Norweigian Epic vs Jade?

I've seen 2 cruises that look interesting, Epic out of Barcelona, and Jade out of Venice. They are a similar price, I prefer the ports on the Jade, but I think the Epic is probably a better ship.

Has any one tried both ships?

My brother has worked on both as well as loads of other cruise ships and says the Epic is one of his favourite ships out of all of them. I'd ask him why but he's on another cruise ship somewhere at the moment!

OOps, it's not the Jade, it's the Star. Which I think is maybe an older ship?

I haven't been on the Star, but my impression was also that it's an older ship. We've been on Epic and Jade through. We're back on the Jade next month because it's a great itinerary out of Venice. Overall we probably preferred Epic as its a bigger ship with great entertainment, but the kids like both ships.
