auto europe, alamo and skip the counter

have booked a car via auto europe for collection at miami

the car car company is alamo

have managed to complete the online check in procedure

can't find the section that enables you to skip the counter. am i able to do this

For some this works:

In one tab of your browser open your Online Check in (OLCI) page on the Alamo website.
In a 2nd tab on the same browser either google Alamo Bypass the counter and click on one of the links or paste this into the browser: alamo/en_US/car-rent...ew.bypass.html

Hopefully your OLCI details should be populated into the Skip the Counter page and you can add your credit card details and be done. If it doesn't work first time try a different browser.

Although I didn't hire with Auto Europe this method did work for me through rentalcars.com as I too didn't receive the Skip the Counter link.

You won't see a skip the counter section when you do Alamo OLCI if you have booked through a third party (except Virgin Holidays).

I booked through Auto Europe and this worked for me:

1. OLCI as you've already done.

2. In a different browser (even better, a different device) open up Bing and search for "Alamo skip the counter". The first hit should link you to the correct page where you enter your booking number and select other options.

If this doesn't work, you might want to try it after registering as an Alamo Insider.

I did the olci and printed off the details. I could not figure out how to do bypass the counter. I emailed Alamo to ask if I could bypass counter and they confirmed that I just need to take the printout with me and scan the barcode at the kiosk in Mco. We did this last year at Mco. Don't know if they have the kiosks at your airport.
