We are here with the remains of Erica!
Well we arrived yesterday afternoon, with the help of Thomas Cook, who I may add were fantastic!
We arrived to hot sunshine, however by 7pm last night we had the most amazing thunderstorm until midnight, . The remnents of Erica are hanging around for the next 48 hours with quite a bit of rain, normal service resumes on Tuesday,by God its hot though! Been awake since 4am,but now the skies awake so were awake !

This is my fourth trip to Florida and I've never seen a storm like last nights. It was awful. We were here in 1999 during hurricane Floyd too!
I hope it changes soon otherwise we won't get to see any fireworks. We attempted to go to MK last night and as we got to disneys maingate the rain started. By the time we were at the parking booths it was heavy and he let us in without paying... Should've realised why! Our whole row of cars sat waiting for the thunder and rain to clear. After 30mins we went out for a meal instead! Nothing phases DH when driving out here, but downpour and surface spray meant you couldn't see road signs/junctions/lanes/cars. It was awful!

I'm not scared of storms but last night scared the life out of me, it was right over the top. I had fallen asleep and a massive bang woke me, I jumped out of bed cos I was convinced it had hit something right by us. I couldn't get back to sleep it was horrible.
Was that Erika? I'm hoping normal service is resumed BEFORE Tuesday, as we fly home Monday and I'm terrified of flying as it is, but I would not have wanted to be out in that last night. I'm shattered today, it's our last visit to MK and HS today and I had a really restless night and I'm absolutely weary. |

Our whole villa shook with a couple of the thunder claps last night.
It wasn't Erika though, that's not arrived yet. We're flying back tonight and I hope it stays away for our departure |

We pulled out of SSR last night at 7.15pm heading up to the AK area to dine at Jiko's.
As we passed the MK area the heavens opened and it was so heavy when we got to Jambo House that I had to drop Mrs Morrow under the entrance canopy. The Valet guys had water running out of their clothes so I wouldn't let them have the car Don't think I have ever seen people so wet! I parked up and did a little run to the entrance

We just got back to our hotel when it all started thankfully. It was a sight to see.I'm hoping all is well for everyone's flying plans. We fly back midday Tuesday. I have one day left on my universal ticket and hope to use it today. We prefer the late afternoons without fastpass, as everything is a walk on,so hoping for no repeat performance tonight.

We had been shopping but it was on and off all day yesterday. We are staying in the wilderness lodge and from our room the Lightning lit up the whole sky it was very noisy but at the same time it was beautiful to watch.
The roads were terrible and apparently Hollywood studios was washed out.

We were driving back from the coast the rain made driving very hairy couldn't see lanes or signs we were on the interstate so did slow but couldn't pull over. The thunder was so loud!
