Good luck with your flights. When I booked my cheap flights with Virgin earlier this year I was scared to book anything else like villa, car etc. I left it a few weeks and all good. I got mine for £240 each for October half term and I too kept looking out for a cancellation email every day.
Hope it works out for you ! |

Keep in mind that not all online travel agents will send you a notice of cancellation if you didn't pay for their service package, so it's best to keep an eye on your flights on the AC website. That said, so far I've only heard reports of cancellations from people who had booked on one or two particular websites, or who hadn't had their e-tickets issued (ticket numbers). So far, so good!

Thanks I never heard of this either.
I hope you get your flights we flew twice with Air Canada Brussels - Montreal - Orlando before the stopped the route, I enjoyed the flights good service. Was worried because at that time there were striking a lot. But it was good. I liked the system in Montreal you didn't have to collect your bags but just look a photo on the screen and confirm the bag was yours. Easier than flying indirect via an American airport. Fingers crossed. |

Sorry to jump on this thread.
On Sunday morning, I booked return flights for 6 of us (5 adults, 1 child) to Orlando for next Easter for £1300. The layover in Montreal on the return is 6 hours and 20 minutes. Unpleasant, but doable - it's daytime, rather than night. I booked them before I became aware of the error and before it was publicised as that, but, of course, I was aware of it being freakishly cheap when I booked them. CosmicGirl, what are the sites that you've heard are cancelling please? We have our 13-digit e-ticket numbers, so I'm feeling hopeful, but we did book through a third-party... I booked a refundable hotel (luckily, as I didn't know about the potential for the flights to be cancelled at the time!) but I want to get excited and start planning and don't feel I can do that until we know for certain that the flights are in the bag! Thank you 😊 |

Air Canada do still fly the Brussels-Montreal route, followed by a connection to Orlando on Air Canada Rouge (lower-cost subsidiary). They just don't a daily flight in the Winter season as far as I know. The layover appears to be more than 4 hours, though.
If you want to avoid a connection in the US: Delta are starting a direct flight from Amsterdam to Orlando March 30th. You may need to wait a few months but you should be able to book this with an incoming connection on KLM from Brussels or Düsseldorf (depending on where you live), or with a rail & fly ticket from Brussels or Antwerp. Where did you book? The only one I know for certain is schipholtickets, as I've read multiple reports about those tickets being issued and then cancelled written on more reputable aviation sites than the well-known blogs. As of right now it's all still a big question mark, so I am waiting at least two weeks until I make further plans for my trip. |
