most local tradesmen nowadays have a facebook page with pics of completed works and happy customer testimonials alongside a list of memberships of professional bodies.

When we had our windows/door done I got some local recommendations, then went looking at their work online, also checking their memberships with the professional bodies and messaging a friend of a friend who gave them a good review - life is a bit easier nowadays!

Went to IKEA today. I did really like the look of the Besta stuff. We are going to work out what we can fit into the space, either with Besta or putting wardrobes in there.

I am also hunting for a joiner so we can work out what the options and various costs are.
