Can you add on DDP if you book independently?

If you book with someone like Hotels.com can you then pay for Disney Dining separately direct with Disney? I have been saving my Clubcard vouchers and this would be a very satisfying way of spending them!

No, unfortunately not. You need to book your accommodation and park tickets as a package in order to buy the dining plan, and you need to book the dining plan with whoever you book your accommodation/ticket package with. You can't add it on separately with Disney.

No, you need to buy a package.

Note that purchasing the dining plan doesn't normally save much compared to paying for food OOP. Most people here get the dining plan free as part of the package. There are dining plan calculators if you want to do the sums.

What I would do is price up how much it costs you via hotels.com and work out if it's enough of a savings to fund your food OOP. Then you effectively have "free" dining but without the package.

If you like the prepay aspect of DDP, set aside that money before you go in a separate account or even on a prepaid card and use it for dining.
