Virgin upper class
Hi I am debating on is it worth upgrading on return flight so I can have a proper sleep .
I have row 75 in the bubble booked so have plenty of legroom . What would you pay . My max is an extra 600 each And is it worth it. |

Personally no I wouldn't pay £600pp just for around 7 hours sleep. I would stick with what you have an keep the extra £600 each to go towards merchandise or the next trip. I've heard Nytol from over in Florida is really good for helping you sleep on the plane xx

Why do you need the sleep? If it’s for driving the next day then don’t drive and pay for a transfer. £600 goes a long way.

It's subjective MM, we can't utilise UC lie flat as the bed, to us, is like a rock and as I have back issues is a no-no. As for upgrade price, not sure if £600 would cut the mustard as generally UC tends to be fully booked. Have VA quoted £600? How about PE, we reverted back to PE from UC as we prefer the seat.

Is row 75 the Exit seat? If it is I cant sleep on that one on the way home as the armrests are fixed and Im constantly squirming around to get comfy.
I would upgrade to premium if you could even though the armrest are fixed the seats are more spacious and I find the recline better. Would I upgrade for £600 ..presuming that is each...No I would'nt its nice but not £600 nice in my opinion. * I need the sleep so seating is important to me, I have a condition which if I don't sleep I begun to get flu like symptoms and feel dreadful for days when I get home. I feel like this after every flight home, I thought it was jetlag. |

Going from economy I would doubt you would even get away with upgrading to Buisness class (called upper class on virgin) for just £600, so the decision will probably be made for you.

I booked Virgin Premium Economy both ways last September and got an upgrade to Upper Class for the return flight from MCO to Gatwick for £185.15. I loved having the flat bed, pillow and duvet plus it was so peaceful. Unfortunately I didn’t get much sleep as I was in rather a lot of pain at the time (lymphoedema in legs/feet) and I’d taken the full amount of painkillers I was allowed to for the day. But it was lovely being able to lie out flat mainly because of my leg problems. I’ve also got an upgrade from PE to UC for my return flight this September too, this time for £250.

We flew out UC and back Premium. I slept very well in Premium Economy and would be happy to do that again. It was nice to make use of the luxury of UC on the way out, sitting at the bar eating with more room etc. I think I would regret upgrading to UC on the way back just to sleep the whole time.
