A few questions around the use of dining credits...
I've been so distracted trying to plan our wedding that I'm not finally able to look a little at our Disney part of our honeymoon. ADR day is at the end of next month so I want to come up with a rough daily plan so I can figure out which parks we'll be in.
At the moment we're only on QS, but I'm going to shortly write a list of where we would be booking for to pay OoP anyway to confirm on whether we should upgrade. I've been reading through the DP stickie and wanted to check on a few things... Dining Packages - how do you book these? I didn't realise that this was an option and I know that we will likely want to go back to Tusker House for breakfast, so I'm wondering if this is something that would be a benefit? QS/TS for snack credits - I have read that it's up to the discretion of the CM on whether these can be used for snack credits. Is it common that they won't let you? We're hoping to be there for food & wine and would prefer to use them then. - are both QS and TS credits worth 3 each? - to reconfirm as I think I have read this somewhere, all 3 need to be used at the same time at the same place? - Is it only 3 snack credits, including a drink? or is it 3 credits + a drink? Since I know the QS/TS include a drink with the meal. 2 credit TS - Is the only way to find out which restaurants are worth 2 credits from doing research? or is there something that I'm missing on the MDE app!? This is my 3rd time at Disney, but first on site stay, and I'm feeling a bit like I've never been before at all with all my questions |

To your questions:
You book dining packages the same way you book restaurants, the dining package will appear in the restaurant listing when you do a search. I didn’t think there was discretion required for swapping TS / QS for snack credits. I think it is standard, but it would be a total waste to do this with a TS credit as it is still 3 snacks. Yes you do need to do it at once, you either use your credit at three snack of you use it for meal with drink, you can’t mix and match. The restaurants classed as signature / fine dining will require two credits. |

Thank you! I didn't originally think the breakdown of the credits was up to their discretion until I read about it on that post, so that's good to know Are the dining packages only available on certain days? I tried to do a test run using Tusker House on the app before I posted this, but I wasn't able to see anything. |

As far as I am aware, QS credits are worth 2 snack credits and can be swapped to get 2 snacks rather than 1 QS.
You can't swap TS credits to snacks, but I believe you can swap 1 TS credit to 2 QS credits. At least that's how I remember it being in November when we asked a CM.

It's 3 snack credits for a QS credit. Someone doing a food report live currently is getting 3 snacks per QS credit, so that's definitely correct at present.
Never heard of anyone being able to swap TS credits for 2 QS credits. You can use a TS credit to buy 1 QS meal though, but that's very poor value.

You're better off looking on the full website for dining packages. I've got a feeling they're not available top book via the app, although things seem to change all of the time.
You should find them all listed here: disneyworld.disney.go/en...dining+package

Just to add what as already being said, I'm sure I saw/read somewhere that during F&W some booths were only offering 2 Snacks per QS credit against the standard 3. The simple way to look at swaps is- Are they making money out of the deal? 1 QS approx. $18 = 3 snacks no drink at $15 & 1TS $45- 1QS at $18. Win win for Disney
Final thought if you are at the stage where you are trying to swap a TS then there is no point in upgrading SD
