had a tahoe and a suburban (basically an xl version of a tahoe) twice they are great have lots of room a great high up driving position giving you a nice sense of safety especially on the Interstate at the side of huge semi trucks they have nice level of kit and sound amazing and go very well the mpg isnt the best but i figure its still way cheaper than running my uk car last time we had one $60 would about fill it up and would give us around 300 miles
ive booked one for next year with alamo hoping to get suburban upgrade onsite once again

This is our choice of car every time we go, no worries about parking as the bays are larger than they are here and also most parking has angled parking, you don’t see anyone reverse park, love the fact you are up high, fuel wise not take much notice, you are on vacation, who cares, have a look at a few you tube clips there are a few on there. Plenty of room for suitcases. Going for the suburban next year as there are 6 of us.

We have had several Tahoes and a GMC Yukon (the same as a Chevy suburban)
- Big car, can seem overwhelming when you first get in to it. After a quick drive its all fine
- good room (in the front)
- rear seats are a little cramped for long distances (leg room weirdly)
- Tahoe will cope with 4 + 4 suitcases/hand luggage fine
- MPG is pretty poor, but usually is a 5.3l V8 so it makes a nice noise
- parking is easy, all the spaces are plenty big enough
- Usually comes with a good level of kit, remote start if specced is great for cooling the car in the car park while you walk back towards it!
- handbrake is actually another foot pedal on the left, but most US drivers never use it, just leave it in Park.

Actually booked a Tahoe twice (with Alamo both times) but still never had one.

Got upgraded (for free both times) to a Suburban and then a Ford Explorer.

Both times where were 6 of us travelling (6 cases + 6 hand luggage + 2 buggies) and the kind people in the Alamo garage spotted it would be a squeeze in the Tahoe so gave us something bigger !

I prefer the Ford Explorer or Expedition to the Chevrolet range. I find Chevvy and all GM cars to have the worst looking interiors

But as a car its fine albeit based on old technology

We have had several Chevvy Tahoe if there are just the 4 of us ,nice vehicle plenty of space for luggage and passengers without being cramped. Do prefer the Suburban but depends on price.
