If we went back to Florida we probably wouldn't do parks again or even stay in Orlando. Have been five times to Orlando and combined parks with places like Keys, Naples and St Petes Beach. Would maybe do something like hire a villa in Cape Coral and explore more of Florida.

Hi Jo.
Well, we weren't meant to be going but started looking at the ridiculous prices for Spain or similar! DS and DD both count as adults for most package holidays so prices were crazy, particularly as most involved DH and I on a sofa bed. Flights, car hire gorgeous villa for 12 nights and four nights in a hotel in Miami have come to around £3,800. Could have been even cheaper if we'd gone for a smaller car and cheaper accommodation. x

We have spent a couple of weeks at Rotonda for the last couple of trips and going again this year. Three weeks of looking for shark's teeth as the highest priority.

Yesterday we walked along the beach at Lovers Key (Ft Myers) picking up shells and enjoying 86 degree weather then stood watching pelicans & dolphins off the pier followed by an hour shopping in Sanibel Outlets and then relaxing in the evening poolside, firing up the BBQ for the rib eye steaks with salad - I would say that was a pretty good day in the Sunshine State! 🇺🇸🐋🍴

Florida is a lovely state and you are right, there are loads of things to do! Enjoy your winter in the sunshine.
