Clothes for the holiday...buy before or in Florida?

Was planning on getting all my holiday clothes/sunglasses before we travelled.

But my other half is saying it might work out cheaper to get everything there.

Is it much cheaper? I rather get everything i wanted beforehand tbh.

It might be cheaper, but how much time do you want to spend shopping?
And there is a difference between shopping because you fancy it, and desperately needing to buy something to get through the holiday.

I would take some stuff with you, so that if you don't see anything you fancy you aren't stuck. But plan on topping up with new stuff over there. I'd also suggest you can do some laundry out there, so you don't need to take a different outfit for everyday.

We always pack most of ours before we go. We both love shopping, and also get stuff there, but I don't want to HAVE to go looking for clothes etc before I can relax and enjoy the hol if that makes sense. We can then just browse the shops for extras, prezzies and souvenirs.
I know that some dibbers go with empty bags and shop for everything though.

Are you going to want to go shopping straight away?

I take everything with me couldn't start the holiday knowing that I have to go and get my whole wardrobe.

I guess it really depends on what you are likely to buy, if you want all labels then would be cheaper in Florida but if like a lot of us you are happy with high street stuff then I would say it is just as cheap to get stuff here.

I like my shopping trips before we go on holiday gets me excited for the forth coming holiday. Also I buy a few bits each month so don't actually notice a lump sum going out all in one go.

I agree, it's much more fun to go shopping for extra clothes than having to hunt around for stuff because you need to!

Just ordered 2 play suits ( all in one short sets ) from Boo Hoo as a lot of them are on sale at the moment .Decided this year to take 4 outfits we always stay in a villa with washing machine and tumble dryer .So 4 should be plenty .But to answer your question I've done both bought early here and then bought one or two things there .But if you're going late in the year there won't be much there to get September there will be next to nothing in summer clothes in Orlando .So I think I would opt to shop here

Thanks for the posts.

I agree with BevS97. Will get 90% of my stuff beforehand and if anything takes my fancy out there, then so be it.

Cheers
