My parents use to live on Tenrife. So have fond thoughts of there.
The weather there is good all year round,
Still have old parts of the island to sightsee.
The south of the island has night life and areas good for children.

We liked Fuerterventura and La Gomera, they were a bit less touristy than the others but it really depends on what you're looking for in a holiday as to which one would suit you

I've bee to Tenerife, Lanza and Fuerta. My fave is Lanza. We are there in just under 7 weeks (see countdown) for our 16th trip (eeek) we love Costa Teguise. Its windy but hey its a top windsurfing destination.

Hated Tenerife too commercial where we were. Fuerta could have been better - we were at Caleta de Fuste (not sure if this is its new or old name ) the beach was like sand on boards (does that make sense) and it was a hike out to sea to get above your knees.

Lanza is fab for us. Beautiful beaches with proper sand. Its the right colour and you can dig in it. My fave bit is its soooo tidal. I even downloaded the tide timetable for our two week holiday so we know when the tide is coming in to destroy our sandcastle and also when their is a full moon as the tide comes in really high at Costa Teguise and it is amazing.

I've been to them all, and my fave is Tenerife.
Loro Parque and Siam Park are so much fun!

Maspalomas is nice on Gran Canaria. Stay away from Puerto Rico now, far to many lager louts there now!
