Bargainy Bargain! Carnival
This year we were due to go on a cruise to Russia (from the uk) for 12 nights with Carnival cruise lines. Was going to be their first cruise from the UK, I believe.
We've been with Carnival twice already, so booked up in 2019 to get the early-bird offer and paid a $398 deposit. Obviously Covid hit, and they were offering on-board credit of $600 and applying that deposit amount to any new booking, or a full refund. We took the credit option. Fast forward to next year and I booked us on a four night cruise from Miami to Cozumel via Key West. Decided to go for a balcony room and paid a deposit again, with the total cost being $1,185.48. Was pretty happy with that price, and also got a little bonus of $200 on board cruise credit. Anyway, hadn't heard anything from Carnival or could see anything about our 2021 cancelled cruise on my booking. So earlier this week I sent them a little email. Email back today - Boom. $600 on board credit added (so now $800 in total!) $398.00 taken off the balance! Onboard credit we will use for excursions and for paying for the Cheers package for free drinks for the entire cruise duration. Very happy with that!
