I did not say I wanted them to go bust - quite the opposite. I have supported them for many years.

I was replying to a post that said they shouldnt be allowed to fly until they refund everyone - I pointed out that would most likely mean they would go bust i.e. it was a silly idea.
I didn't accuse you of anything if you read my post again I was agreeing with you.

Then I replied to another post saying I had seen a couple of posts where people were saying hope they go bust/under.

Nowhere did I say you said anything about them going bust.

Following Virgin's announcement to the trade - surely its all just a plan. Without FCO approval for us to fly and US opening their borders their plan is irrelevant.

Please don't flame me but surely there is so much to be put in place before they even think of flying.

Exactly. Without knowledge of the restrictions being lifted - how can it be anything other than an attempt to grab some publicity. Maybe it will happen, maybe it wont.
Maybe just "clutching at straws"

There may be things going on high up that none of us are privy to.

Until Trump opens the US borders to UK travellers no plane be it BA or VA will be leaving the UK.

Our cases and death rates are still far too high. Actually I fully expect him to allow other European visitors before us as many other countries rates are so much lower than ours.

He cant afford spike. He already has issues with the virus in many states, he most certainly would not want it made worse by an influx of foreign tourists!

After all he blamed Europe along with China for the virus getting into the US.

I think a lot of us are hoping that they will be cancelled... I just want to know either way and then to be able to get a refund sorted.

Possibly. But unlikely to be anything credible given how this thing changes day to day or week to week.
No one can really have a clue what will happen and what state - good or bad - in 6 or 7 week.

Everyone is determined it will be bad.

Yeah, the while shooting match! There's so much going on behind closed doors that we the general public have not been told. "The Science" to name but one. It's a load of smoke and mirrors.

Yes it's only my opinion but I do suspect a level of coordination in this move by Virgin.
