My wife hasn’t booked her return home trip from MCO-LHR yet but via Charlotte or Miami are the best available options.

So, we’ve researched and decided that we’ll do Mexico for 15 nights and then onto Orlando for another 2 weeks.
We’ve worked out that the cheapest option are two return tickets.
From UK to Cancun
Then Cancun to Orlando.
Then Orlando to cancun.
Cancun to UK.
Sounds confusing but it’s pretty simple really and the flight from Cancun to MCO is pretty short.

We are just waiting on our flights for 23rd August to get cancelled now and then we’ll book.

If I was retired I’d go to a Mexican all inclusive for 2 weeks then over to the US for a month or so.

We’re pretty new to this course of action as I never in a million years thought DH would agree to it. Is it 14 clear days you need to spend out of the U.K. before you go into the US?

We have decided to go for the Bahamas option. We considered Cancun but taking everything into account, Bahamas was the better (more expensive!) option.

I assume staying 15 nights in Bahamas will satisfy the US entry requirements? I know there's been some confusion over the 14/15 day thing.

We are booking to stay for 15 nights just to be safe. Don’t fancy getting turned away.

All the best to you both and let me know how you get on

Amazing Jonathan, have a wonderful time - would you mind giving us a little update of how your experience getting through the customs is?

Hi Robyn,

Will do.

Our resort is 99% Americans so there is a 4th July celebration today. We just had a Jamaican steel band do the Star Spangled Banner with cheerleaders!

Sounds absolutely fantastic! Not jealous at all, not even a little bit… even though it’s pouring down at the minute 😂

I’ve been reading its 14 full 24 hour periods out of the U.K. so I guess that’s why everyone opts for 15 nights to be sure?
