I've just phoned and asked why the jump in price.

Apparently it's all about availability. Once you click the advertised price if someone has beaten you to those seats you may go into the next price bracket.

I've also been offered direct with another TA for £3,236.

I don't know whether to book or wait for indirects to come down in December.

So we have already seen sub £700 directs. I think sub £600 will be seen before the end of the year. Flights are not selling ...

Just out of curiosity how can you tell flights aren't selling?

Looks like everything has moved up again now from selecting different dates. Keep an eye on it - sure it will happen again if things aren't shifting. Its all a mind game, those that didn't get a flight panic and buy in case it goes up etc.

Its a tough one to sit it out but sure usual December period will have similar if not lower prices on one or more of the airlines.

Thank you! still nothing from them.

When you spend £3000 on something it's nice to get some sort of email confirmation ... hope it's all OK

Awaiting Flight Centre Uk to call me back with a quote, to see if they can beat what I have already. If not booking with ebookers - Aer Lingus.

Tonight we've been given price of £3152 direct with AA and midsize SUV 17/8-2/9.
That's for 2 adults and 1 12yr old.
Is it likely that we will get better than that if we wait til Christmas?
We are willing to go indirect if savings significant.
