Is it windy on cruise ships?
Hi!
Going on our first ever cruise in just over 3 weeks! Thinking about packing, can anyone tell me - is it always windy up on the decks on a ship when its moving? We're going to the Eastern Caribbean the first week in April - in the evenings will it be chilly enough to need a light cardi? Thank you!

It depends which part of the ship you're on. I find that it can get quite chilly on the front decks when the ship is moving but there are sheltered spots towards the back. But definitely pack a cardi for the evenings.
Have a great holiday! |

Only when the wind blows!
Unless there is a storm or something you just get mild breezes. |

Jane Mcdonald had her coat on last week on Channel 5 cruise show. But she was in Alaska 😊.
Think you will be fine in the Caribbean Cloverlady. Don't forget to take lovely sunny photos to make me jealous 😀 |

I've not done the Caribbean but have done the Med twice. It can get a bit breezy on the top decks at night, but I can't remember feeling cold.
It's always best to take a light cardi or jumper that's easy to carry with you. Enjoy your cruise

Disney Cruise Line VIP!

I found I needed a cardi more for the a/c in the restaurants and public areas rather than being on deck!

Thank you all! I'm pretty sure we ARE going to enjoy it!
3 weeks today we fly out to Miami ready to board a cruise ship for the very first time, so many new and exciting things ahead - feels a bit like the first time I ever went to Orlando!
