Crossing the pond by Disney Magic: Day 5 - Castaway Cay

The morning map shot didn't work so well today, lol

It was another lazy-ish start to the day today and it was 8:30 before we went up for breakfast. We had already arrived at Castaway Cay so I took a few pictures before we went ashore.

At just after 9:00 it was time to leave the ship for the first time since we boarded at Galveston.

We had a wander along the beach and then took up a spot in the shade outside Cookies BBQ.

Continued in next post

At 11:15 Cookies opened, we got some food and as we ate a special visitor came along.

It was the Disney Dream, which said hello and then moved off again.

Just before 12:00 we decided to head back to our cabin where we stayed until sail away at 3:30 when I went upstairs to watch us move off and sent Gemma a text before I lost the phone signal.

Later in the afternoon I did my three laps of the Promenade Deck before going back to the cabin once again to relax before the show.

At 5:45 we went down for the show, which was Villains Tonight, a song and dance show featuring a lot of the Disney villains.

After the show we went up to get ready for dinner, which was back in Parrot Cay. Dad and I started with crispy cheese ravioli, Dad followed with bisque while I had romaine and chicory leaves, we both had the duckling for main course, then I had Villain's Chocolate Ending and Dad did not have a dessert.

After dinner it was in to the Promenade Lounge for a nightcap, then up to bed for 10:15, although the clocks went forward again so we lost another hour.

Day 6 - At Sea

Great to see so many new veggie choices on those menus!

I'd almost given up hope of them having anything decent for us weirdo's!

I'm sure they said at one of the cooking demos that they're going to be re-vamping some of the menus on the Magic after the refit - especially with the re-naming and re-themeing of Parrot Cay.

Let's hope they do something with the awful veggie option for Pirate Night. It hasn't changed since 2008!

David I can't believe you didn't mention the horn battle between the magic and the dream. It was awesome and made mine and my daughters day!

Veggie choices - have commented on that on another thread! Still pretty rubbish, and pirate night hasn't changed.
