Any tips for Savannah view AKL room request?

Hi,
I am just looking at Touring Plans at Savannah Rooms.
Has anyone who has visited before got any tips for a room request?
We like it to be quiet and not too far to walk but would rather walk further and have a quieter room.

Just wondering if this is because people don't bother requesting if they already have a savannah view room booked?

We have one of these booked and I've looked and no idea what to request either. Would like somewhere near the pool but near a giraffe

The animals are free to roam around the savannah so you will see a good selection if not all the animals with a savannah view room. In terms of requesting a room I would look on a map and decide which savannah you want to look out on and request that.
The rooms that are quieter are further away as you get less people walking to their rooms past them. Having said that, it is a much quieter resort that nearly all the others.

I expect this is the case. We have three days there at the end of our stay and I assumed that Savannah View would do the trick and we would be bound to end up with a good room. I guess the toss up would be a room nearer the central facilities being handier versus a room at one of the ends of the arcs is bound to be quieter. But as I say, we haven't done anything, whereas we had ideas about what we wanted at Caribbean Beach.

I requested room 2501 on touring plans and got that exact room. I added my photos of views to touring plans.

We loved the room - quiet but easy access to pool and quick service by going down in the elevator and up to checkin and the lobby. Lobby is on level three.

Woke up each morning to giraffes.

A low floor is sometimes better. Views from rooms on higher floors are sometimes obscured by tree canopies.

Oh my god , that would be perfect. We have a 1 bed savannah dvc room so I don't know if they are different numbers .
