Electronic Devices in Hand Luggage

Hi All,
I wonder if anyone can help?
I watched some sort of Gadget Program on the TV this morning and they mentioned that No Electronic devices can be taken to the US in your hand luggage.
The only devices that are allowed are Mobile Phones.

Can anyone who has traveled to Florida recently confirm if this is correct?

We are due to fly next Month to MCO from Stansted and i know we plan to take several devices.
My wife plans to take her iPad, my son his PSP & iPad and i planned to take my MacBook.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Hi Mibbs, that rule doesn't (yet!) apply to flights from the UK. The US and UK have a block on certain electronics in hand luggage on flights from some countries. You should be fine, just ensure all are fully charged should security ask you to turn on.
