Disney Cruise Line - Med 2010 - Booked!

I am sooooooooooo excited!

My wonderful DH has just booked Disney Cruise Line 10 day Mediterranean Cruise for next May as a special treat to celebrate my 40th birthday!

This is in addition to our Florida trip in October. I am sooooooooo pleased! We managed to get an offer where the children cruise free so it brought the price down by $2500. It is still quite expensive compared to other cruises but I am sure it will be extra special cos it is Disney.

Our itinerary is:

10-Night Mediterranean Cruise

Day 1 Barcelona, Spain
Day 2 At Sea
Day 3 Valletta, Malta
Day 4 Tunis, Tunisia
Day 5 Naples, Italy (Pompeii)
Day 6 Civitavecchia, Italy (Rome)
Day 7 La Spezia, Italy (Florence, Pisa)
Day 8 Ajaccio, Corsica
Day 9 Villefranche, France (Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice)
Day 10 At Sea
Last Day Barcelona, Spain

We have never cruised before so we are hoping we really enjoy this.

Any tips or ideas from those of you who are experienced in cruising would be particularly helpful - especially if you have cruised Disney!

Just need to do my new countdown now!

You lucky things. We are looking at doing our first cruise; a meditteranean one, for our 25th Anniversary (2012). Not sure which boat to go on yet though.

Thanks guys. Cruising is new to us too. As we are going as a family and Disney don't always do med cruises (last in 2007) we thought it a great way to celebrate my 40th. A real special treat!

Oh absolutely fabulous! You will be my personal point of reference since you did it in 2007 and have booked for 2010 also. I will PM you with lots of questions if that is ok?

Thanks Michael. Sounds great for you guys next year. We are going to Florida in October - the week before half term and the week of half term. We got free Disney Dining which was a really good deal. I guess we have quite an extravagant year next year but it is my 40th and I do have the best husband in the world. (Only thing is, it is his 40th the year after so what will I do for him and, more importantly, will I have any money left?)

Hope you guys all ok. Must catch up again soon.
