Aligators!

I wasn't sure where to post this, but, we are looking at booking one of the hover boat/swamp trips to see gators in the wild, does anyone have any recommendations for company's to use? we are staying on iDrive and have a car

Spirit of the Swamp. They're not one of the big boys and offer a more intimate trip. Captain Harold and Debi are superb:

Can second spirit of the swamp, boats seat about 6, about 20 min drive from I drive, well worth it.

We went to Wild Florida and I highly recommend it. Its a cattle ranch that offers air boat tours & also has a small wildlife park with loads of gators, sloths, parrots, Zonkeys ect. A great 1/2 day away from the parks and only about 40 minutes from Idrive.

for Spirit of the Swamp. Our family loved it and would definitely do it again. It's lovely to have a boat just to your family, makes it a really special experience.

Not quite what you were asking but we really enjoyed hiring a canoe and paddling around Wekiwa Springs. We managed to find an alligator about 3 foot long too.

The DW was not very happy about holding onto a "log" in the water to keep the canoe still whilst I took a picture though

. Great chance to experience Florida wildlife in a not quite so packaged way but I don't think I appreciated the risk either at the time

Another vote for Wild Florida, lovely place we spent all day there and loved the place.
