We did the wine, beer and soft drinks package. We also paid for a couple of bottles of champagne for toasts.

I very much doubt this represented value for money, but the drinks packages seemed much cheaper then you would get in the uk and we decided we couldn't let people pay for drinks after they had flown all he way to the us for our wedding!

For us it was the stress free option, but there was only 12 of us so it wasn't too expensive

That was my thinking too. Another thing to add to the budget!

I did a package bar - we paid a set price per head and our guests could have as much soft drinks, beer (imported as well as local), wine and spirits as they liked.

Yeah just got these through from Karen @ DFTW.

Karen mentioned we could substitute or change items off the plated menu selection. We are struggling to find a starter that everyone will eat so would appreciate any suggestions people have

God I didn't think this would be the stressful part but I am having a mini meltdown atm

I just got I think 2 glasses of wine per person and 1 soft drink per person knowing some people wouldn't have wine so there would be more for those that wanted it and we didn't run out.

That's a good idea too thanks Claire - do you mind me asking how much that was per person if you know?

Also I was just going back over your report and I noticed you had a different starter to those listed on the plated menus. Did you pay extra to substitute this?

Sorry for all the questions
