I would wait, I doubt they would split you up and that's a lot of money, I know if I was put next to someone else's toddler I would swap seats to put them with a parent, we have four kids and have never been split up.

Thank you. I've mentioned it to hubby and he reckons it'll be ok too. Fingers crossed! 🙈

Worst scenario would be one adult with two children close and the other adult rows away.

Surely for the other adult that’s the best scenario

We’ve stumped up and paid to reserve seats. The cost on the top of a ten grand holiday is fairly insignificant, and I don’t want the stress of worrying about it on the way to their airport.

We've just been having this dilemma and decided to pre-book our 4 seats together. It's so much money but decided we wanted peace of mind. It's a tough decision though

Haha exactly! My DH would be ok with that. That's the thing though with us...the flights were paid for entirely with miles aside from taxes so less than £900 for all four of us return, I've got DVC accommodation for the vast majority of the trip so no cost there so it's really not costing us much in terms of an Orlando holiday. It's very much a sneaky budget trip. To book the seats will cost more cash than my airline ticket. Still, I do think the peace of mind is worth a lot too. 😩

I totally agree. It's tricky as hubby thinks it's not worth paying but I do as I'm a worrier I'll mull it over for a few days I think. 🤔

We (DW & I) flew out economy a few weeks ago and I think it was only a few £ more to book extra leg-room seats so we did that in a row of 3, and the 3rd stayed empty, which was brilliant. The extra legroom itself is minimal though - certainly not obviously more.

Ah thanks for commenting as my DH was saying that we should just book extra leg room if we are going to pay out anyway. Do you think it's worth it? I know little children can't sit in extra leg room seats by a door but there seems to be some in the middle of the plane by the galley that I think we can book I presume behind a wall of some description!
