Reserving restaurants in December?
Hi,
We are hopefully going to Disney in December and am just looking at the restaurants. We have booked a restaurant for Christmas day already but do you think as December might be busy I should book more during my two week trip? I quite like the look of Wolfgang Puck and Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs as new places to try, but would usually just pop to Disney Springs after a park and decide. Do you think this will be possible or as it is a busy time I should book set days for eating at these.

I would personally. I always book something for each day as we do like the dining experiences and would rather cancel nearer the time than have nothing booked and be stood queuing in stand by or searching for somewhere to go. I noticed the other day that a few of the more popular restaurants weren't accepting standby as they were at capacity and thats mid- sept so I would definitely look for a few placeholders at Christmas time.

I hate taking all the spontaneity out of it but Xmas / New Year is totally manic - we’ve been a few times - and reservations are a good strategy to be assured of getting in to where you want to

What date does it calm down do you know? We are there 27th Dec - 13th Jan - so I am fully expecting it to be crazy for the first week- but will the second week be still very busy or does it go quiet(er) after a particular date?
Thanks

Thank you! That is pretty much what I expected, but good to hear we may get a few quieter days in at the end of the trip.
