Seat reservations changing?
Does anyone know why Lufthansa would change seats if the original ones were still available to reserve? We only booked a few weeks ago, and they’ve already changed our seat reservations twice. We’re not worried, as we just go back and select seats where my children are each sat next to a parent again.
I’m just wondering why they change - the first time, there was a change of plane and our original seats were unavailable, fair enough. The second said it was a change of plane again, but our original seat numbers were still available - same positions within the plane, and the same price too. (They’d put three of us together, but moved my daughter away on her own.) It’s her first ever flight, so she definitely wants to sit next to someone she knows. Obviously they don’t know this, but I don’t understand why they moved her away when her original seat next to me was then left empty. Any ideas? Is it just an automatic thing to randomly re-assign certain seats when there’s a change of plane, even if the original seats are still available?

We had our booked seats moved s free weeks back, but by the looks of things it was because it's a different aircraft.
