I wish you all the best. I think you have made the right decision for the security of your family. If house prices drop a little, don't worry as you weren't planning to move in a hurry and so they have a decade or more to right themselves for you. If it is your 'forever' house then don't even give your house price a second thought. I am sorry you felt the need to reveal so much about your situation. I hope you can now start to get excited about your future!

Got to get all things moving on Monday, the sellers have seen their ideal place as well, so it looks like it will be all systems go.

Hoping there won't be a big chain, as that is nerve wrecking as well.

If survey goes well looks like I could be in for a busy few months.

Not sure why but I don't feel any excitement, just relief!
brilliant news, well done

The kids are really happy, walked up the road today, and there were children playhing out in the road, most of them from the same school as mine, and one of Libby's friends lives opposite, its really a nice child friendly road, also went to B&Q to get some ideas of paint, Jake wants his Liverpool red bedroom back again, (he had this in our home before we had to sell, and as we have been renting for 2yrs I wouldn't let him put red on the walls), Libby is going for a tatty ted themed room, and wants it pale blue, Emma wants a ballerina bedroom and wants hers pink, thankfully they have most of the furnishings already, and have told them will only be painting the main wall in their rooms.

Have also explained to them that it may all fall though, but fingers crossed it won't.

The excitement has kicked in, and trying to visualise where all of my furniture will fit in, what type of bathroom to get, as this will be pulled out within a week of moving in! .

Whirlpool bath or normal bath? , modular units or free standing? modern bathroom suite or classic style? decisions decisions...

But its fun as well.

well done !
holidays etc are great memories but when you shut that door and you and your kids are safe and warm in your own little haven, all the Disney holidays in the world won't compare to that!
and there will be many happy family times with fantastic memories in your special home x

fantastic news,
we used Cavalier Kitchens for our kitchen and bathrooms, they are based in Seacombe
the reason i suggest this is I NEVER once felt ill at ease with them house and couldnt recommend enough,
they had to take our kitchen and bathrooms back to brick so lots of work, and they only left me without a hob or oven for 2days,
I would leave the back door open and it got to the point they would have me a cup of coffee ready after the school run.
oooh I love to shop, you will hve to get some bits from DTD for your new house.

Thanks, never realised that Cavalier did bathrooms, so may pop in when kiddies back in school.

Got so much to do, but not sure when to start, thankfully all the holiday planning is sorted, well all the passports sent of, all paid for, all adr's booked, all my planning done, half the clothes shop for the kids done and dusted, and will be waiting a while till I try and shift some weight for mine.

so I can concentrate on the house... gosh this is turning into a buying house report...

Thanks again for all your warm wishes, they really mean so much.

I hope you will continue your house report. It is fun to vicariously enjoy the thrills and chills of buying a house. I am happy to hear that your children are excited about the move and have friends in the area. Happy planning
