Mobile Any other 18th ideas?

My daughter will be 18 in 24 days 😱😱😱😱
As its been a pretty rubbish year I want to make the most of it. Unfortunately its on a college day and when she gets home it will only us 5 so we won’t be doing any fancy marquee or outdoor celebrations. However I will be putting balloons on the front of the house.
But I am wondering if you bought, did anything that was a hit for your or your child 18th ?

So far we have got her:
18th sash and tiara, balloon arch (if I manage it)
I will be making a cake and bought a personalised topper for it.
Photo book with photos from a baby up to now.
GHD’s and heat mat & hairdryer, which are actually for university so she doesn’t take mine.
Large bottle of gordens pink gin 🙈
Disney, personalised gin glass.
Main gift is a Tiffany necklace 💗

I am thinking of getting a chocolate bouquet.
So what else can I add or do? 🥰

You have got it well covered. The only other thing I could suggest is 18 small presents, (as she's going to uni I mean practical things like rubber gloves, washing up bowl etc. My daughter made my niece a mug that had her name and how she likes her Coffee on it.) It's just adds to the excitement and takes time to open as it's not a party as such. I'd also wrap the hairdryer, straighteners and mat seperately, so there's 4 if you include the necklace. X

Video messages are such a great idea. We have done a few for friends and family over the past year and everyone seems to love them.
You ask friends, family, dance mates, college friends etc etc to send you a video message for her and then collate them all together with music etc and play them to her on the day. Put them into USB and she will have them forever

It all sounds amazing! Our son was 18 this week, and aside from a cake, and a banner, we didnt really do much at all, but he still had a great day, filled with junk food eaten with friends, and driving his car having passed his test just days before. I think your daughter will be absolutely over the moon with all your plans! Have a lovely day celebrating x

My parents bought me a ring and a necklace. In all honesty, I never take the ring off. The necklace I wore for quite a while. But I got bought others over the years so at the moment it’s in its box (and has been for a while!). However my ring is still firmly on my finger 11 years later it’s not a brand or anything, just a sterling silver ring from a local jewellers but I like having it on all the time. Where at my necklace I did change depending on what I was wearing et.

Video messages are a brilliant idea! I had these for what should have been my hen do last year ❤️

Vouchers or IOU for spa day/theatre etc is lovely as well. Just something to look forward to x

Pre covid I had originally thought of a weekend away. Not far, just near the Trafford centre so we could have a shopping day, meal and a couple of sneaky drinks 🤭
But even though shops are open we are still avoiding them just yet as Mason is so poorly.
But I could make it for later in the year but before she goes to university 👍🏻
