Sky Q Mini Box

Could somebody tell me what a Sky Q mini box is?

The mini box allows you to watch a different sky channel in a different room. It is separate from your main sky box

And how much capacity does that have? My Sky VIP reward entitles me to a Sky Q 2TB box and 1 Sky Q mini box for one off £20 fee however we have two Sky HD boxes on the one account, would that mean one box wouldn’t be upgraded to a Sky Q box?

The Sky Q mini boxes have no storage. Everything is stored on main Sky Q box. So when you record something from a mini box it’s recirded on main box. That way everything is shared to all mini boxes. You can buy additional mini boxes. You can have up to 4 mini boxes but only the main box and 2 mini boxes can be watched at once.

Yes two main boxes.

Each Main box / dish needs its own separate subscription, but each of those can have mini boxes attached.

I don't think it is possible to have a Sky Q main box and an older Sky HD box on the same contract either.
