Up until a year ago I would put Jiko's right at the top of the list.
Sadly the main Chef moved and they are now only serving 4 entrees! Unbelievable.

We went to Yachtsman on our anniversary and would certainly recommend it. The food was lovely but the service made the evening for us. We were given personalised menus (which we took home for the memory box), petit fours and our waiter was so friendly.

Haha I've recently cut out sugar... I may have to rethink this come next August!
The American diet is a bit of a full on sugar fest!

I think I’m won over by the Yachtsman! And they have French onion soup... I had this for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago and loved it! So that may be my winner.
Toothsome is on the list for a week or so after! Those deserts look incredible! |

Hands down the Monsieur Paul tasting menu is continuously my best signature experience ... I went two weeks ago ... if you look at my report in the food review section there are photos and more info. Done it twice now and it’s been superb.

Absolutely agree - I didn’t go this year having read recent reviews. Any idea where the chef went to?

OP definitely worth looking at my recent reviews as well as Dr JJ review - between us I think we covered most of the signature places ... Claudette today put up a great review too of Morimoto. California Grill was outstanding for us as was Yachtsman behind M. Paul. Flying Fish was good food not great service.
