Golf with kids

I'm heading to Disney in October and am looking to fit in a round of golf for both myself and my 12 year old daughter. Don't fancy taking our golf clubs so would need to book club hire.

Does anyone have experience with this and could you advise if club hire is available (for kids) and if you just need ask for clubs on arrival or if these need to be booked in advance?

Cheers!

You will probably pay about £30 per set per day but don't forget you will need golf shoes as well, this price varies from golf club to golf club.

I have played most of the Disney courses previously and when the boys were younger I never had to pay for them to play (so long as they shared my clubs) but obviously I wouldn't bank on this still being the case. I also got away with playing in trainers, albeit white tennis like ones.

Hope this helps a little (but not sure it does).

Never been asked to wear pukka golf shoes in Florida. But then I don't play championship style courses.

My ex and boys often decided to golf on vacation. They never had a problem with clubs. I do know once (not in Florida) ex had to get both boys collared shirts because they did not bring any. After that they always remembered to pack appropriate clothing. This was all 15 or so years ago.

I`ve just booked a round at Deer Creek RV Golf Course. 7 Adults and 1 child $195 including carts and club hire. I know its not a championship course , but i`m not a championship golfer

Hi. My DH and two daughters will be playing Disney oak trail which is included on the ultimate Disney passes. The kids club rental is free and all they have to pay for is the trolleys as it's a 9 hole walking course. My DH will then be looking to play maybe a couple more times as we will be staying three weeks in October. Highlands reserve and possibly Champions gate.
