Anybody stayed in this hotel before and if so, would you again?

I was there 2 weeks ago. It was pretty good. The rooms are a reasonable size, nicely and fairly unusually decorated. The location is great for Fishermans Wharf and 1 block from the Cable Car turnaround, 2 blocks from a Safeway supermarket, Walgreens across the road, 2 blocks from the car hire offices. The breakfast is not bad and very convenient. There was a fair amount of traffic noise from the road outside, but not a lot we could do about it and we were awake at 5am with the time difference anyway!
When we checked in, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned to our standards, so we went back to the front desk, they sent housekeeping up straight away and waived the $30 per night facility fee. I would stay there again - we have kids so there is probably more going on in Fishermans Wharf area.

We stayed at this hotel last year - fab place with a lovely feel to it. Very quiet as we asked for a room at the back - Bay views catch the early binman collection 😢

Thanks to you both. Do you mind if I ask what rate you managed to get as the best I can find at the moment is around GBP250 per night

It was around that, but booked via quidco / expedia with 10% cash back. SF seemed very expensive in general in Aug.

Just looked and we paid $1205 + taxes for a premier king room for 4 nights. Unfortunately fisherman's walk is expensive. We have stayed at the Tuscan the previous year and it was very similar. I always go via quidco and usually with booking.com. if you find a good rate its best to book now and look for a better rate nearer the time - possibly refundable which will bring the price down.

I stayed here last year. We joined the iprefer scheme and got a discount on check in. The hotel is well located for getting around - on foot or cable car. We didn't breakfast there but instead frequented the Hollywood Café around the corner - the breakfasts here were excellent (I highly recommend the Vivien Leigh! ). We contacted the hotel before we travelled and asked for a courtyard view room. On arrival, we were delayed at the airport, the hotel said that they only had one room left which was a twin rather than a king. We took it anyway. Might be worth remembering that when you check in. We liked it though but next time we plan to stay up near Union Square since Fisherman's Wharf is less central.

Stayed here last year - it is well located - easy to get to the cable cars and Fisherman's Wharf. The rooms for SF are a good size - with unusual furnishings - like a metal wardrobe. We liked the window seat - watching the world go by as others got ready. Check in was easy. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment but close to many many restaurants so you won't go hungry. We liked the location for the Wharf and the things we wanted to do with our DD - have stayed 4 times - and this was our favourite hotel - have stayed on Union Square before but this wasn't for us again with the wharf suiting us more now that we were travelling as a family.
