Any recommendations for Kefalonia please?

We’d settled on Makis Hotel in Skala but as soon as I’ve gone to book it’s now sold out 😢

We’d like something around a 5 min walk from a reasonable number of restaurants/nice places for cocktails and a good beach.

We stayed at The Asteris hotel skala in one of their refurbished rooms in 2019, it was lovely. We had a car to drive to the restaurants and bars but there’s a shuttle bus that takes you there. Stoney beaches so you need your water shoes but mounda beach is sandy and the sea is warm x

We have favourite place there we have visited a couple of times, the Avithos resort.

It's a short run from the airport and a walk (or they will usually run you down to) Avithos beach with the Enetico taverna and beach bar. Or a short walk in the other direction to the orange grove restaurant.

Really lovely little place run by some lovely people and kept immaculate.

Kef is a good place to have a hire car too with some interesting places to visit, including the caves, fiskado and ferry over to Iscia.
