Is Gatwick airport busy?

I’m flying to Norway next Monday from Gatwick North. Has anyone flown from there recently and can tell me if they are having the same problems through security as Manchester are having?

Most airports are struggling at the moment. I'd just leave a bit earlier than you normally would.

Either way you have enough time for getting through okay without the added stress of being up against the clock and also you can just chill before you board once through if it has been stressful!

I'm always a punctual guy so never do late or home alone style running through the terminal. 😃

Flew from Gatwick North over Easter connecting both coming and going. Both times security was fairly normal and everything was moving well. I was flying to a wedding and loads of the guests used Gatwick North and we all commented it wasn’t too bad.

All airports are struggling but the different dynamics of each airport and the different media coverage make it difficult to compare.

I'm flying on Friday and nervous about this so will let you know how we get on!

Flight is 6am or I'd plan to be there 4 hours before just for peace of mind!

Good luck. Our flight is at 12:15 but we want to get through and have a Spoons breakfast before we fly. We are staying overnight at the Premier Inn so no worries about a delay in travelling there.

I have flown from lgw north twice last month over Easter. Airport was busy but security was well organised and fairly quick. However immigration on the way back was very slow..

We are at the premier inn too. You can't beat just walking across in the morning can you!

The 3am wake up is still going to be a killer though especially with the toddler 🙃

At airport now. Busier at 4am than I've ever seen it! We did night before bag drop and family security and no wait at all for either through in 5. Normal security had a little queue which was moving swiftly
